Foster Care Parent
Provide time and TLC for injured, sick or very young animals right in your own home. We provide all the supplies, you provide the loving home.

Becoming a foster
Fostering animals for FOA is a rich and rewarding experience. All it takes is time, love, and lots of cuddling. Animals require fostering because they are not quite ready for adoption for one reason or another.

It might be a puppy to young to be adopted yet, a dog that hasn't been treated well and needs some extra love, a mamma cat with kitties, an animal that wasn't fed well and needs to fatten up, he might be recovering from a surgery or in need of a little socialization.

Your foster animal will stay with you until it's ready to be adopted — usually about 10-14 days. Then, when it's ready to be up for adoption, you can bring it into Furburbia and we try to find it a home. Sometimes you will continue to care for it at night if it doesn't get a home right away. Every situation is different, and we will work with you to make fostering as convenient for you as possible.

You will be supplied with food, crates, instructions, any medication, everything you need!
